| Terms and Conditions for Banquet and Catering Events All Banquet, catering, and similar events (the "event") at Tiffany's in the Holiday Inn Middletown (Hotel) and reservations therefore, are subject to the rules of Tiffany's and the Hotels, the following conditions apply: 1. Tiffany’s Catering Corp. will hold a date for a tentative booking without obligation for 10 days. Within 10 days we must receive a signed contract, a $500.00 non-refundable deposit for weddings or a $200.00 non- refundable deposit for any other social event, or the date will not be held. Personal checks will only be accepted for deposit. The balance due for the event must be paid 14 days prior to the Event. Final payment must be paid by certified check, money order, cash or charge. 2. All taxes applicable to the event and services rendered by Tiffany's will be added to the price of the event. 3. A service charge of 18% will be added to the price of the event (20% for weddings). This charge is for set up, clean up, and wait staff service. Additional gratuity is optional. 4. Final arrangements (i.e. Choice of menu, estimated count, number of guests at head table, etc.) must be made 14 days in advance. The attendance number will be considered a guarantee, not subject to reduction. The guaranteed number of attendees cannot exceed 200 guests without prior written notice to Tiffany's and confirmation in writing by Tiffany's. 5. No food or beverage of any kind is permitted to be brought onto the hotel property by the Client or any of the Client's guests or invitees, unless previously agreed to in writing. 6. Tiffany's or the hotel does not assume or accept any responsibility for damage to or loss of any property or merchandise left at the banquet facility or the hotel prior to, during, or following the function. 7. The Client will be fully responsible for any damage to the hotel or any persons injured by the Client or the Client's guests, invitees, independent contractors, or agencies hired by the Client for the event. 8. Attaching any decorations to the walls with nails or any other material other than tape is not permitted. We also do NOT permit table confetti or the use of fog machines. 9. Tiffany's and the hotel's obligation under the contract for the event are subject to and it will be relieved there from it's ability to perform is impaired by labor disputed strikes, picketing, utility shortages, government restrictions, transportation difficulties, unavailable commodities, fire, flood, storm, or other events or causes beyond the control of Tiffany's and the hotel. 10. Menu selections are priced on a minimum of 30 guests unless otherwise noted. 11. All special arrangements are subject to approval. 12. We reserve the right to regulate the volume of the music. 13. All food and beverage items remaining from your function cannot be removed from the premises. 14. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be taken out of the room. They are only permitted in the reception area. 15. We reserve the right to refuse alcoholic beverage service to any guest at the function who is under 21 years of age and/or limit the consumption of any guest, for the safety and comfort of everyone. 16. Cancellation policy for meetings - cancellation more than 2 weeks prior to the meeting will not be subject to any penalty fees. Cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to the meeting will be subject to a penalty fee of 50% of the estimated cost. 17. Cancellation policy for all other events - Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event will be subject to a penalty fee of 30% of the estimated cost.
